Once in the air, no problems. We were served our second breakfast of the day (before 7:30), complete with a small bottle of champagne each. For the first time ever, we bought something from the duty free shop on the plane, a wireless speaker for our iPads.
Got through the airport without incident. Had to wait a bit for our transportation, but we were outside and it was warm, so we couldn't get really upset. We arrived at the resort and were welcomed by the friendly service that we remembered from our last visit here. Because we arrived early at the resort (~1130), our room wasn't ready and needed to wait. So what to do? Go eat lunch. Fish tacos for me and a tri-colour salad for Jennifer. Back to the preferred club lounge to relax and get a cerveza.
We checked into the room, got settled in and then in the Carribean Sea for a quick swim. Both really tired, we vegged out a little more. We wanted to go to bed, but knew we couldn't until we ate dinner. We went to El Patio, the Mexican restaurant. Jennifer had the chicken mole and I cochonitas pibil (shredded pork served with corn tortillas). Back to our room and early to bed, we were tired. Time for a good night's sleep in preparation for our first full day tomorrow.
Resort's Drink of the Day as post in the daily activity letter:
Mary and Cesar - tomato juice, clam juice, salt
Bay Breeze - vodka, cranberry juice, pineapple juice
